Helen Whately

Helen Olivia Bicknell Whately (née Lightwood; born 23 June 1976) is a British Conservative politician who was appointed by Boris Johnson as Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury on 16 September 2021 as part of the 2021 British cabinet reshuffle. Previously she was Minister of State for Social Care at the Department of Health and Social Care, having been appointed to that post on 13 February 2020 in the 2020 British cabinet reshuffle. She has served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Faversham and Mid Kent since 2015. She also served as Deputy Chairwoman of the Conservative Party in 2019.
