Beschreibung | Vernor Steffen Vinge (/ˈvɜːrnər ˈvɪndʒiː/; geboren am 2. Oktober 1944) ist ein amerikanischer Science-Fiction-Autor und Professor im Ruhestand. Er lehrte Mathematik und Computerwissenschaften an der San Diego State University. Er ist der erste, der das Konzept der technologischen Singularität in großem Umfang verbreitet hat und vielleicht der erste, der einen fiktiven "Cyberspace" vorstellt.
