Beschreibung | Novak Đoković (serbisch Новак Ђоковић, romanisiert Novak Đoković, ausgesprochen [nôʋaːk dʑôːkoʋitɕ]; 22. Mai 1987) ist ein serbischer Tennisspieler. Er hielt sich für eine beispiellose Gesamtzeit von 373 Wochen auf dem ersten Rang der Weltrangliste und erreichte einen ebenfalls beispiellosen siebenten Platz als Jahr-Ende-Nummer 1. Er gewann 21 Grand-Slam-Titel im Herren-Einzel, darunter ein rekordverdächtiger neunter Australian Open Titel. Aktuell ist er von der Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) als Nummer 5 in der Weltrangliste geführt. Insgesamt gewann er 91 ATP-Einzel-Titel, zu denen ein ebenfalls beispielloser Rekord von 65 Big Titles, ein gemeinsamer Rekord von sechs Year-End Championships und ein rekordverdächtiger Wert von 38 Masters-Titeln gehören. Đoković vollendete einen non-calendar year Grand Slam im Herren-Einzel und ist damit der einzige Mann in der Tennisgeschichte, der gleichzeitig Titelverteidiger bei allen vier Majors war. |
