Newton Leroy Gingrich (/ˈɡɪŋɡrɪtʃ/; gebürtig McPherson; geboren am 17. Juni 1943) ist ein amerikanischer Politiker und Autor, der von 1995 bis 1999 der 50. Sprecher des Repräsentantenhauses der Vereinigten Staaten war. Als Mitglied der Republikanischen Partei war er von 1979 bis zu seinem Rücktritt 1999 US-Abgeordneter für den 6. Kongressdistrikt von Georgia, der den Norden von Atlanta und die umliegenden Gebiete umfasst. Im Jahr 2012 kandidierte Gingrich erfolglos für die republikanische Nominierung zum Präsidenten der Vereinigten Staaten.
