She is the Minority Whip of the City Council. The district includes the neighborhoods of Brighton Beach, Gravesend, Manhattan Beach, Midwood, West Brighton Beach, and Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn. Formerly a Democrat, Vernikov is a member of the Republican Party. |
