Beschreibung | Ian Alexander Walmsley FRS ist Provost des Imperial College London, wo er auch den Lehrstuhl für Experimentalphysik innehat. Zuvor war er Pro-Vizekanzler für Forschung und Hooke-Professor für Experimentalphysik an der Universität Oxford sowie Professor am St. Hugh's College in Oxford. Außerdem ist er Direktor des NQIT (Networked Quantum Information Technologies) im Rahmen des britischen National Quantum Technology Programme, das von der Universität Oxford geleitet wird. Er ist außerdem Fellow des Institute of Physics, der American Physical Society und der Optical Society of America. |
