She is a member of the Liberal Party and represents the Division of Curtin in Western Australia. She previously served as the vice-chancellor of the University of Notre Dame Australia from 2008 to 2019. After the 2019 election, Hammond succeeded retiring Member of Parliament Julie Bishop. |
