Joseph Francis Petric (born October 8, 1952) is a Canadian concert accordionist, historian, author, and teacher. Born in Guelph, Ontario, and raised in Acton, his father took him to his first accordion lesson at age five. He continued informal studies with local teachers until 1968 when he entered Toronto's Royal Conservatory of Music. After completing a Bachelor of Music at Queen's University at Kingston, he moved to Toronto in 1975 and completed a degree in musicology at the University of Toronto (1977). Miranda Chartrand and Adam Nichols
Miranda Chartrand (born 3 May 1990) and Adam Nichols (born 10 September 1991) are a musical duo. They met and began working together through the BBC television series Chartjackers, which was challenging the online community to write, record and release a pop song through crowdsourcing in ten weeks. After initially auditioning through separate YouTube videos, Chartrand and Nichols then successfully auditioned in person to provide vocals on the single. They recorded the song, entitled "I've Got Nothing", at the University of Wales in Newport, South Wales on 7 October 2009. The single was given a worldwide release on 9 November through the iTunes Store, and went on to peak at number 36 on the UK Singles Chart.
Brian John MacLellan (born October 27, 1958) is a Canadian former ice hockey forward and the general manager of the Washington Capitals. MacLellan was born in Guelph, Ontario. After playing his college hockey at Bowling Green State University, MacLellan signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Kings in 1982. During his tenure with the Kings, he would play on a line with Marcel Dionne, and he would have his best year statistically in 1984–85 (31 goals, 54 assists). Despite this, he was traded to the New York Rangers in the middle of the 1985–86 NHL season. He would be traded again, this time to the Minnesota North Stars prior to the 1986–87 NHL season, where he would score a career-high 32 goals.

Frank Valeriote (born August 15, 1954) is a Canadian politician. He was elected as the Liberal Member of Parliament in 2008 by a small margin over the Conservative candidate Gloria Kovach and subsequently served as MP until October 2015. Valeriote chose not to run in the 2015 federal election. In an interview with the Guelph Mercury newspaper in November 2014, he cited a desire to spend more time with his two young children. Helen Stoumbos (born October 18, 1970) is a Canadian retired soccer player and television broadcaster. A Center Midfield, she represented Canada at the 1995 edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup and scored the team's first ever goal at World Cup level. Stoumbos was a member of the winning Canadian squad at the 1998 CONCACAF Women's Championship and was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame in 2008. After injury curtailed Stoumbos' playing career, she moved into television broadcasting, working on football coverage from Sportsnet, CBC Sports and GolTV.
Andrea Seccafien (born August 27, 1990 in Guelph, Ontario) is a Canadian long-distance runner, who mostly competes in the 5000 m event. In 2010, Seccafien enrolled to the Samford University in the United States. After two years she transferred to the University of Guelph in Canada to study economics and political sciences. In 2013, she won the national 5000 m title at the Canadian Championships. She missed the 2015 season due to a foot injury. In May 2016, she ran a personal best of 15:17.81 and qualified for the 2016 Olympics. In July 2016, she was officially named to the Canadian Olympic team.
