Januar 1894, Detroit, Mich.) war ein US-amerikanischer Theologe und Minister der Second Congregational Church in New London, Connecticut, von 1845 bis 1857, nachdem er zuvor in Rochester, New York, tätig gewesen war. Er wurde vor allem bekannt für seine Sammlung von Zitaten, A Dictionary of Thoughts, ein Buch mit Zitatensammlungen, für seine Zusammenstellung der sechzehn Predigten seines Urgroßvaters Jonathan Edwards über 1 Korinther 13 unter dem Titel Charity And Its Fruits; Christian love as manifested in the heart and life sowie für seine Ausgabe der Werke seines Großvaters Jonathan Edwards (der Jüngere) (im Jahr 1842). |
