Beschreibung | Timothy MacKenzie Gunn (geboren am 29. Juli 1953) ist ein amerikanischer Autor, Akademiker und Fernsehstar. Von 1982 bis 2007 war er Mitglied des Lehrkörpers der Parsons School of Design und von August 2000 bis März 2007 Lehrstuhlinhaber für Modedesign an der Schule. Danach wechselte er als Chief Creative Officer zu Liz Claiborne (jetzt Kate Spade & Company). In 16 Staffeln wurde Gunn als On-Air-Mentor für Designer in der Reality-TV-Sendung Project Runway bekannt. Gunns Popularität bei Project Runway führte zu zwei Spin-Off-Sendungen: Bravo's Tim Gunn's Guide to Style und Lifetime's Under the Gunn, sowie zu fünf Büchern. I don't know why I've always been so captivated by architecture.
I've never mentioned this, but when I was at Parsons teaching, the other design disciplines, they don't like fashion design. They see it as very nineteenth-century.

Take the high road. No matter how much strife, and consternation, frustration and anger you might be confronted with - don't go to that level.
With fashion, you really need to understand the aspects of construction. Not just design on an iPad.
