Beschreibung | Rakesh Sachan(born 20 December 1964) is an Indian politician,The member of legislative Assembly (MLA) (2022)from Bhognipur constituency, who has served two terms in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly (1993–96 and 2002–2007) and in 2009 was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Fathepur Lok Sabha constituency, on the Samajwadi Party ticket. He stood for re-election from the same constituency in 2014, again as a member of the Samajwadi Party, but lost. In January 2022 he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and ran for the Vidhan Sabha constituency of Bhognipur. |
