Beschreibung | Pegah Ahangarani (Persian: پگاه آهنگرانی; born 24 July 1984) is an Iranian actress and film director. She is the daughter of actress and film director Manijeh Hekmat and movie director Jamshid Ahangarani. She has acted in 11 Iranian feature films since 2001 and made one documentary.She started her cinematic career by starring in the movie Singing Cat (Kambuzia Partovi) in 1990 at the age of six. Her breakthrough film role was playing Tadai in the movie The Girl in the Sneakers for which she won the Best Actress award at the Cairo International Film Festival. Her next role was in Women's Prison (2002, Manijeh Hekmat) which won the award for best film and screenplay in the sixth House of Cinema Ceremony.
