Mohammed Abu Zaid

Mohammed Abu Zaid (arabisch: محمد أبو زيد) (* 4. Mai 1980) ist ein ägyptischer Dichter und Schriftsteller. Er wurde in der Gouvernorat Sohag in Oberägypten geboren. Seine erste Gedichtsammlung „A Hole in the Air as Tall as My Height“ (original text: „thqab fi alhawa'“) erschien 2003 im Verlag der General Authority for Cultural Palaces. Es folgten mehrere weitere Gedichtbände, darunter „Praise The Forest“ (original text: „mdih alghaba“) im Verlag der Egyptian General Book Authority, „People Sitting Around the Water“ (original text: qawm juluws hawlahum maa'a“), „Mdihamtan“ und „A Plague Putting One Leg Over the Other, Looking at the Sky“ (original text: taeun yadae saqaan fawq al'ukhraa wayan'dur lilsama). Er veröffentlichte außerdem einen Roman mit dem Titel „The Impact of the Prophet“ (original text: ‘athar alnabi“) im Verlag Dar Sharqiyat, ein Kinderbuch mit dem Titel „Maryam's Mint“ (original text: „neinaeat mariam“) im Verlag Qatar Al-Nada, und ein Buch über die Kunst des Schreibens.
