Beschreibung | Myron Leon Wallace (9. Mai 1918 - 7. April 2012) war ein amerikanischer Journalist, Moderator einer Spielshow, Schauspieler und Medienpersönlichkeit. Während seiner sieben Jahrzehnte währenden Karriere interviewte er eine Vielzahl prominenter Nachrichtensprecher. Er war einer der ersten Korrespondenten der CBS-Nachrichtensendung 60 Minutes, die 1968 erstmals ausgestrahlt wurde. Wallace zog sich 2006 als hauptberuflicher Korrespondent zurück, trat aber noch bis 2008 gelegentlich in der Sendung auf. Er ist der Vater von Chris Wallace. |
As I approach my 88th birthday, it's become apparent to me that my eyes and ears, among other appurtenances, aren't quite what they used to be. The prospect of long flights to wherever in search of whatever are not quite as appealing.

This was freedom. This was something totally different from the Russia they had left.
