(born April 23, 1952 in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA) is Thomas Jefferson Professor and Curators' Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Missouri – Saint Louis (1997–2018), where he was a colleague to the social theorist Robert Rocco Cottone. Dr. Pope also served from (2006-2016) as chair of the Department of Counseling and Family Therapy at that university.
