Marco Reus (German pronunciation: [ˈmaʁkoː ˈʁɔʏs]; born 31 May 1989) is a German professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward. He captains Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and plays for the Germany national team. With the Germany national team, Reus has only 48 caps, due to his recurring injuries in recent years. He missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which Germany won, UEFA Euro 2016, UEFA Euro 2020 and 2022 FIFA World Cup, but played in UEFA Euro 2012 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
