Er ist der Adoptivsohn des ehemaligen Staatspräsidenten Idriss Déby. Nach dessen Tod wurde er am 20. April 2021 zum Präsidenten des militärischen Übergangsrates des Tschad ernannt und ist somit de-facto Präsident seines Landes. |
