Beschreibung | Lisa Carlton ist eine republikanische Politikerin aus Florida. Sie war von 1998 bis 2008 Senatorin im Senat von Florida und vertrat Teile Südwestfloridas mit Schwerpunkt Sarasota. Von 2006 bis 2008 war sie als President Pro Tempore des Senats von Florida tätig. Zuvor war Carlton von 1994 bis 1998 zwei Legislaturperioden lang Abgeordnete im Repräsentantenhaus von Florida und vertrat Teile des Sarasota County. Carlton ist derzeit als Gastdozentin am Lou Frey Institute of Politics and Government an der University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, tätig. Sie wurde vom Gouverneur Rick Scott in die Florida Constitution Revisions Commission für die Zeiträume 2017–2018 ernannt. Ihr Urgroßonkel war Doyle E. Carlton, der von 1929 bis 1933 Gouverneur von Florida war. |
