He is the parliamentary party leader of Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal for Madhesh Province . He is the first Madheshi origin Nepalese Muslim leader of Nepal to become the Chief Minister. Raut, a resident of Parsa was elected to the 2017 provincial assembly elections from Parsa-2(A). Earlier, he served as a member of the Constituent Assembly which promulgated the Constitution of Nepal 2015. |
