Kenta Izumi

Kenta Izumi (泉 健太, Izumi Kenta, born 29 July 1974) is a Japanese politician who has been the leader of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP or CDPJ) since 30 November 2021. He is also a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature), currently for the Kyoto 3rd district. A native of Sapporo and graduate of Ritsumeikan University, he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2003 after an unsuccessful run in 2000.
