Beschreibung | Karl Barth war ein Schweizer evangelisch-reformierter Theologe. Ab 1911 engagierte er sich als radikaldemokratischer Sozialist. Ab 1914 brach er mit der deutschen liberalen Theologie seiner Lehrer, die den Ersten Weltkrieg unterstützten. Mit seinen Römerbriefkommentaren (1919/1922) begründete er die Dialektische Theologie. 1934 verfasste er massgeblich die Barmer Theologische Erklärung, begründete die Bekennende Kirche mit und rief ab 1938 alle Christen zum auch bewaffneten Widerstand gegen den Nationalsozialismus auf. |
