Beschreibung | James Webster Wilhelm (born September 20, 1952) is an American former outfielder in Major League Baseball from 1978 to 1979 for the San Diego Padres. A graduate of Santa Clara University, Wilhelm threw and batted right-handed, stood 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) tall and weighed 190 pounds (86 kg). However, just prior to spring training in 1980, on February 15, Wilhelm was traded to the Cleveland Indians with pitcher Bob Owchinko for outfielder Jerry Mumphrey. Rather than report to the Indians, Wilhelm, 27, retired from the game. |
