März 2018 wurde er aufgrund von Vorwürfen sexuellen Fehlverhaltens, die er bestritt, von allen seinen Positionen und Verbindungen zur Met entlassen. Levine hatte Führungspositionen beim Ravinia Festival, den Münchner Philharmonikern und dem Boston Symphony Orchestra inne. 1980 rief er das Lindemann Young Artists Development Program ins Leben und bildete Sänger, Dirigenten und Musiker für professionelle Karrieren aus. |
