Hettige Don Karunaratne (known as H. D. Karunaratne) (born December 11, 1964) is a Sri Lankan business economist, academic, author and the Director of Institute of Human Resource Advancement. He was the Dean at the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo. H. D. Karunaratne is currently working as the Coordinator, Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Program, University of Colombo. Chairman of the Governing Council, Institute of Policy Studies, Sri Lanka. He is the Vice President of Sri Lanka Economic Association since October 2014 and the Director of the University of Tokyo Sri Lanka office.
