Libeskind gründete 1989 zusammen mit seiner Frau Nina das Studio Daniel Libeskind, dessen Hauptarchitekt er ist. Er ist bekannt für den Entwurf und die Fertigstellung des Jüdischen Museums in Berlin, das 2001 eröffnet wurde. Am 27. Februar 2003 erlangte Libeskind weitere internationale Aufmerksamkeit, als er den Wettbewerb um den Masterplan für den Wiederaufbau des World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan gewann. |
To provide meaningful architecture is not to parody history but to articulate it.
There are more people living in Lower Manhattan now than before the terrorist attacks. That's faith for you. There's such a strong spirit here.
