Er ist Mitglied der Demokratischen Partei und wurde 2002 zum Gouverneur gewählt. Henry wurde am 7. November 2006 mit 67 % der Stimmen für eine zweite Amtszeit wiedergewählt. Henry war als möglicher Kandidat für den US-Senat gehandelt worden, lehnte es aber ab, bei den Sonderwahlen 2014 als Nachfolger von Tom Coburn anzutreten. |
