He has also served as 20th Mayor of Chandigarh elected in January 2016. He is the third person from the Bharatiya Janata Party to become the Mayor of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, after in 1997 and in 2000. He was a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He is an advocate at Punjab and Haryana High Court. |
