She represented New Zealand at four World Cups and is the most capped Black Fern. She was a member of the 1998 Women's Rugby World Cup, 2002 Women's Rugby World Cup, 2006 Women's Rugby World Cup, and 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup. She played 54 matches for the Black Ferns of which 49 were full internationals. In the 2005 Queen's Birthday Honours, Richards was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to women's rugby. |
