Àngel Rangel Zaragoza (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈaɲʒəl rəɲˈʒɛl]; born 28 November 1982) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a right back. After playing lower league football in his native country for six years, Rangel went on to spend most of his professional career with Swansea City. He was signed by manager Roberto Martínez in 2007, and the team won promotion to the Championship a year later. With Swansea, Rangel won promotion to the Premier League in 2011 under Brendan Rodgers and the League Cup in 2013 under Michael Laudrup. He appeared in 374 competitive matches for Swansea.
