Allen Klein (18. Dezember 1931 - 4. Juli 2009) war ein amerikanischer Geschäftsmann, dessen aggressive Verhandlungstaktik die Industriestandards für die Vergütung von Tonträgerkünstlern beeinflusste. Er gründete ABKCO Music & Records Incorporated. Klein steigerte die Gewinne seiner Musikerkunden, indem er neue Verträge mit Plattenfirmen aushandelte. Zunächst erzielte er finanzielle und vertragliche Gewinne für Buddy Knox und Jimmy Bowen, One-Hit-Rockabillies der späten 1950er Jahre, dann verschaffte er sich durch seine frühen Erfolge eine Position als Manager von Sam Cooke und betreute schließlich die Beatles und die Rolling Stones gleichzeitig, zusammen mit vielen anderen Künstlern, und wurde so zu einer der mächtigsten Personen in der Musikindustrie seiner Zeit.

Since the goal of my programs is to show audiences how humor can both help them heal as well as deal with not-so-funny stuff, I decided to discuss the events of the previous week, the pain all of us were feeling, and how humor and some laughter might be beneficial.
When we can find some humor in our upsets, they no longer seem as large or as important as they once did.

Any attempts at humor immediately after September 11th were deemed tasteless.
