Juli 2019) war ein chinesischer Politiker, der von 1987 bis 1998 als vierter Ministerpräsident der Volksrepublik China und von 1998 bis 2003 als Vorsitzender des Ständigen Ausschusses des Nationalen Volkskongresses, Chinas oberstem gesetzgebenden Organ, amtierte. Während eines Großteils der 1990er Jahre stand Li in der Hierarchie der Kommunistischen Partei Chinas (KPCh) an zweiter Stelle hinter dem damaligen Parteigeneralsekretär Jiang Zemin. Seinen Sitz im Ständigen Ausschuss des Politbüros der KPCh behielt er bis zu seinem Rücktritt im Jahr 2002. |
