Beschreibung | Isaac Asimov (/ˈæzɪmɒv/ AZ-ih-mov; ca. 2. Januar 1920 - 6. April 1992) war ein amerikanischer Schriftsteller und Professor für Biochemie an der Universität Boston. Zu Lebzeiten galt Asimov neben Robert A. Heinlein und Arthur C. Clarke als einer der drei großen Science-Fiction-Autoren. Er war ein produktiver Schriftsteller, der mehr als 500 Bücher schrieb oder herausgab. Außerdem schrieb er schätzungsweise 90.000 Briefe und Postkarten. Asimov ist vor allem für seine Hard-Science-Fiction bekannt, schrieb aber auch Krimis und Fantasy sowie zahlreiche Sachbücher. |
