Beschreibung | Jorge Carlos Soler Castillo (born February 25, 1992) is a Cuban professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. Soler has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Royals and Atlanta Braves. Nicknamed "Soler Power", he won the 2016 and 2021 World Series with the Cubs and Braves respectively, winning World Series MVP in the latter year. Soler played for the Cuban national baseball team in international competition. He defected from Cuba in 2011, seeking a career in MLB. After establishing residency in Haiti, Soler signed a nine-year contract with the Cubs. He made his MLB debut in 2014. The Cubs traded Soler to the Royals after the 2016 season. |
