Roma Asrani was born to Sindhi parents in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. She made her début in the Telugu film Mr. Errababu in 2005. She has also acted in Tamil and Kannada films. She got her break through her debut 2006 Malayalam film Notebook. The film was a huge success and her performance was critically acclaimed by both critics and audiences. She received her first Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Notebook. She is best known for her roles in films such as Chocolate (2007), Traffic (2011), Chappa Kurishu (2011), and Grandmaster (2012). |
