Marco Paulo da Silva Soares (born 16 June 1984) is a professional footballer who plays for Portuguese club F.C. Arouca as a defensive midfielder. He spent most of his career in Portugal and Cyprus, making over 50 Primeira Liga appearances for União Leiria and Feirense in the former and representing Omonia and AEL Limassol in the latter's First Division. Soares earned 52 caps for Cape Verde from 2006, playing at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
