A Democrat, he represented the 37th district of the New York City Council, which includes portions of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, Bushwick, Crown Heights, Cypress Hills, and East New York in Brooklyn. On January 26, 2020, he resigned from the City Council in favor of a job with the Freelancers Union. |
