Paik Un-gyu

Paik Un-gyu (Korean: 백운규; Hanja: 白雲揆; born 2 March 1964) is a South Korean professor of energy engineering at Hanyang University previously served as President Moon Jae-in's first Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy. Before entering public service in 2017, he worked as a technology advisor to two major semiconductor companies in South Korea, Samsung SDI and SK Hynix. He is also a member of editorial board of Scientific Reports's chemistry section and ISRN Ceramics.
