Barry Butler (footballer, born 1962)

Barry Geoffrey Butler (born 4 June 1962) is an English former professional footballer who spent eight years with Chester City from 1985 to 1993. Primarily operating as a midfielder, Butler also had spells playing in defence and attack, and even took over in goal after regular goalkeeper Billy Stewart was sent off against Bradford City in October 1990. Butler dropped back into non-league football with Barrow, before joining Altrincham in March 1994.
